UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan has received an invitation to attend the second GCC-EU Summit.
Saudi Arabia's Ambassador to the UAE, Sultan bin Abdullah Al-Luwaihan Al-Anqari, handed the letter of invitation from Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, to UAE's Minister of State Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar.
The handover was at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Abu Dhabi.
The two sides discussed opportunities to strengthen cooperation between the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) and the European Union (EU), and expressed hopes for a successful summit.
The GCC-EU Summit takes place in Saudi Arabia on October 24.
