The Dubai Road and Transport Authority has urged residents to use alternate roads to Sheikh Zayed Road, such as Al Khail Road and Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road to reach their destination easily on New Year's Eve.

They also took to their official Twitter account to announce the closure of Al Asayel Street towards Burj Khalifa. Drivers should use either Al Khail Road or Al Wasl Street to reach their destination.

Al Mustaqbal Street is partially closed, between 2nd Za'abeel Road and Al Meydan Road.

The RTA has also announced the closure of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Blvd & the lower Financial Centre Road in a tweet.

Please note that the Burj Khalifa metro station will close early on New Year's Eve. Shuttle buses will be available, and clearly signed paths directing guests to the nearest available station.

The red and green lines of the Dubai Metro will operate continuously until 12:00 am on Monday, January 2, for a period of 43 hours.

The Tram will operate until 1:00 am on Monday in order to facilitate the public’s access to the event area and the exit process after the end of the shows.
