RTA announces new weekend-only bus route

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) is set to launch a new weekend bus line from Friday 9th February connecting Stadium Metro Station with Al Mamzar Beach.

The new W20 bus will operate from Friday to Sunday between 5pm and 11pm, departing every 30 minutes and the RTA also intends to develop a number of public bus lines to improve the daily transportation of passengers by reducing journey times.

The development includes renaming a number of existing lines including; Line 11B to Line 11 and lines 16A and 16B will be renamed to lines No. 16 and 25 respectively.

The changes mean the line starting from the Al Rashidiya bus station to Al Awir will become line 16, and the line that starts from the Gold Souq bus station to Al Rashidiya will become line 25.
