Dubai's Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) and Dubai Airports have discussed plans to enhance connectivity to Dubai International (DXB) and future transport links serving Dubai World Central (DWC).

Mattar Al Tayer, Director General and Chairman of the Board of Executive Directors of the RTA, met with Dubai Airports CEO Paul Griffiths to review traffic improvement projects, future road and public transport plans, and ways to strengthen coordination between the transport and aviation sectors.

The discussions focused on improving traffic flow along key corridors serving DXB, advancing transport infrastructure around DWC and Dubai South, and enhancing integration between airports, road networks and public transport systems.

The aim is to facilitate passenger movement and provide efficient, seamless mobility for residents and visitors.

Al Tayer said integration between transport and aviation remains a key pillar of Dubai's competitiveness, noting that the RTA is continuing to develop an integrated road and public transport network to keep pace with population growth, rising visitor numbers and the emirate's ongoing urban expansion.

He also highlighted the strategic importance of DWC and Dubai South in the authority's long-term plans.

Griffiths emphasised the importance of close collaboration in creating a smooth, end-to-end travel experience, adding that the two organisations will continue working together to develop a future-ready mobility ecosystem that enhances accessibility, efficiency and passenger service.
