Road upgrade boosts traffic flow in Dubai's Al Mizhar

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has completed a traffic expansion project in Al Mizhar 4, covering more than one kilometre from Tunis Street towards Amman Street.

The project adds a third lane, increasing road capacity by 50 per cent and reducing journey times by around 25 per cent.

The upgrade is part of the RTA’s wider efforts to improve Dubai’s road network and keep pace with the emirate’s continued urban and population growth.

Motorists travelling from Tunis Street towards Amman Street will benefit directly, while residents of Al Mizhar, Muhaisnah and nearby communities are expected to see easier access and smoother journeys.

The RTA is also studying measures to reduce the use of internal residential streets as shortcuts for through traffic.

Al Mizhar 4 is among the areas being considered, with traffic management solutions tailored to local needs and designed to support smoother traffic flow and resident safety.
