Authorities in Ras Al Khaimah are urging residents to keep electrical connections out of children’s reach.

The emirates police department issued an advisory as part of its ‘Your Protection is Our Priority’ campaign.

Officials have warned people about overloading electrical connections, touching electrical appliances with wet hands and placing connections under carpets and furniture as they may lead to unintended hazards.

Individuals have also been told to avoid disconnecting electrical currents from devices directly after using them.
