Authorities are urging us to check weather conditions before setting out on maritime tours.

The reminder comes after seven tourists were rescued in Ras Al Khaimah when their boat broke down in rough seas over the weekend.

One of them was carried away by the waves but was pulled out by the coast guard, while the others were picked up by police rescue boats.

The incident occurred near the Mina Al Arab harbour on Friday.
