RAK Ruler arrives in Shenzhen on working visit to China

WAM

His Highness Sheikh Saud bin Saqr Al Qasimi, Supreme Council Member and Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah, has arrived in Shenzhen on Saturday on a working visit to China.

His Highness was received at the Shenzhen Bao’an International Airport (SZX) by Hussain bin Ibrahim Al Hammadi, UAE Ambassador to the People’s Republic of China, and several Chinese officials.

The visit will be carried out until October 23 and includes several cities in China's Guangdong and Fujian provinces.

The RAK ruler leads a delegation from the Emirate comprising senior officials and heads and directors of various government entities and institutions in the emirate.

During the visit, the delegation will hold a series of meetings with government officials and leaders of Chinese companies and institutions to explore opportunities for cooperation and partnerships in areas of mutual interest.

It also includes the participation of Sheikh Saud in the Ras Al Khaimah–China Business Summit in Shenzhen, visits to several Chinese companies and institutions, and the inauguration of Ras Al Khaimah’s representative office in Guangzhou, the capital of Guangdong Province.

The RAK ruler will then travel to Fuzhou, the capital of Fujian Province, where an agreement to establish bilateral relations between Ras Al Khaimah and the province is scheduled to be signed.

The visit builds on Ras Al Khaimah’s ongoing efforts to strengthen its ties with Chinese cities and provinces, further advancing the progress achieved during Sheikh Saud’s two visits to China in 2024.
