More rain is expected to fall in the UAE today with a yellow alert being issued by the National Center of Meteorology (NCM) for Abu Dhabi with cloudy conditions remaining until the afternoon.

The adverse weather conditions are set to continue in parts of the UAE today with Abu Dhabi expected to be hit the hardest.

A warning was issued by the NCM on Sunday morning to expect more heavy downpours in Al Ain, following yesterday's severe weather conditions.

The rain and cloudy conditions are expected to continue until 4pm in the UAE capital the especially in the Eastern and Southern regions.

The alert comes after large parts of the UAE experienced rain, thunder and lightning and hail on Saturday.
