A new bus service is set to connect Jebel Ali Metro Station and the Bluewaters Island.

Route no. F57, which will be rolled out on June 20, will operate at a frequency of 30 minutes during peak times.

On the same date, the schedule and timings of 15 existing bus routes will also be modified by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).

These include route numbers 12, 20, 21, 24, 53, 84, 91A, F15, F26, F30, F33, F47, J01, J02 and X22.

Meanwhile, Route SM1, which runs between Gold Souq Station and Deira's Souk Al Marfa will start at 10:00 am from the Gold Souq station, while the last trip will depart from Souk Al Marfa at 03:27 am (the following day).

"RTA places great emphasis on the summer season and strives every year to enhance the public bus network in Dubai. It seeks to improve the service by adjusting bus schedules and pick-up times and launching new routes in response to a growing demand for the service," said Adel Shakeri, Director of Planning & Business Development at the RTA's Public Transport Agency.
