National retreat showcases UAE Government’s Agentic AI project

WAM

The UAE has hosted a major Agentic AI Retreat bringing together more than 400 ministers and senior officials to review national plans to integrate advanced AI systems into government operations.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the event focused on accelerating the UAE’s transition toward AI-powered public services and strengthening its position as a global leader in artificial intelligence.

Sheikh Mohammed reviewed the government’s new AI ecosystem framework and examined practical applications developed by federal ministries, alongside specialised workshops aimed at expanding the use of Agentic AI across government work.

The retreat also marked the graduation of the sixth cohort of the national Artificial Intelligence Programme.

During the event, the UAE Government launched its first set of AI Agents designed to support key services, including procurement, tax auditing, customer service, and technical support.

Officials say the systems are aimed at improving efficiency, speeding up decision-making, and enhancing the overall quality of government services, as the country moves toward its goal of transforming 50 per cent of all government operations through Agentic AI within two years.
