The Council expressed hope that the agreement would mark the beginning of a lasting peace in Lebanon, preserving its sovereignty while strengthen stability.

It also called on all active parties to adopt similar efforts in achieving a lasting ceasefire in Gaza that would ensure the delivery of emergency relief and humanitarian aid to civilians.
