Now that the UAE’s government and private sector establishments have resumed regular operations, it’s more important than ever to fully comply with the preventative measures against COVID-19.
That’s the message from the government’s official spokesperson, Dr. Amna Al Dahak Al Shamsi, who’s reminding us about our collective responsibility.
During her latest media briefing, she said the country’s frontline workers are working tirelessly to ensure everyone’s safety, but a lot depends on people's support.
Dr. Al Shamsi added that any negligence or recklessness at this stage could lead to "serious consequences".
As many as 19,153 people have recovered from COVID-19 in the UAE so far, while 16,936 patients are currently being treated.
On Wednesday, 571 new cases were confirmed, in addition to one death, taking the death toll to 270.
