Modi highlights need for 'transparent, tech-savvy governments' at WGS

Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi has highlighted the need for governments around the world to be inclusive, transparent, tech-savvy and corruption-free.

Addressing the World Governments Summit in Dubai on Wednesday, Modi said the world needs a smart, inclusive government that's transparent and not corrupt".

He also praised the dynamic leadership of UAE President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, describing him as a leader with vision and resolve.

India, along with Turkey and Qatar, were named "guests of honour" at this year's World Governments Summit.
