The Ministry of Health and Prevention (MOHAP) has cautioned against spreading rumours and advises us all to seek information only from official sources.

The Ministry issued the urgent warning via its social media accounts on Friday, advising us to ignore rumours on social media about a treatment for those who develop COVID-19 symptoms.

The purported treatment involved taking various vitamins on a daily or weekly basis.

The Ministry emphasises that the most important thing is to report your symptoms to medical professionals.

"MOHAP requests community members who develop COVID-19 symptoms to immediately contact health authorities," it stated.

"Ignore the rumours while making sure to only obtain accurate information from the official website of the ministry and its official accounts on social media," the statement concluded.
