Private sector workers in the UAE will get a day off on Thursday, August 12, on the occasion of the Islamic New Year (Hijri Year 1443).
The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation has declared it as a paid holiday.
It matches an earlier announcement made by the Federal Authority for Government Human Resources (FAHR) regarding public sector employees.
