India has announced plans to operate another 270 repatriation flights out of the UAE from October 1.

The services that will run until October 25, are part of the seventh phase of the 'Vande Bharat' mission to help Indian citizens stranded abroad due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The state-owned budget airline, Air India Express will operate these flights that could be supplemented by other Indian carriers at a later stage if required.

These flights will depart from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah to multiple Indian destinations, including airports that were not covered in the previous phases.

During the same period (October 1-25), Air India Express will also operate 269 flights from several Indian cities to the UAE.
