WAM

Her Highness Sheikha Fatima bint Mubarak, Mother of the Nation, has pledged to provide AED50 million towards helping quake victims in Syria and Turkey.

The Sheikha Fatima Fund for Refugee Women will make the donation in support of the Emirates Red Crescent's 'Bridge of Goodness' humanitarian campaign, the national news agency WAM reported.

Sheikha Fatima's directives support the UAE's leadership role to mitigate the repercussions of the earthquakes that struck both countries and affected the lives of thousands of people and fall within the framework of her humanitarian stance in times of disasters.
