H.H. Sheikh Mohammed shares message of pride, unity on Flag Day

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, attended the UAE Flag Day celebration at The Gate Building in Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC).

The ceremony, organised by Brand Dubai, the creative arm of the Government of Dubai Media Office, in collaboration with DIFC, brought together 150 students from schools across the emirate.

During the event, Sheikh Mohammed raised the UAE flag in front of a striking 15-storey mural depicting the late Sheikh Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan and the late Sheikh Rashid bin Saeed Al Maktoum during their historic meeting at Sheikh Zayed's farm in Al Khawaneej.

The artwork formed the centrepiece of the #ZayedAndRashid campaign, organised by Brand Dubai for the second consecutive year.

In his message, Sheikh Mohammed said the UAE flag will always stand for pride, dignity and progress, reflecting the nation’s development under the leadership of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE, and the Rulers of the Emirates.

He also highlighted the enduring legacy of the Founding Fathers, whose vision laid the foundations of a nation built on unity, humanity and achievement.

Sheikh Mohammed reaffirmed that national progress is the responsibility of every individual and that belonging to the UAE is demonstrated through work, ethics and accomplishment.

The UAE Flag Day, launched by Sheikh Mohammed in 2013, is celebrated each year on November 3 to honour the nation’s unity, sovereignty and values.

The occasion also marks the start of the National Month campaign, which runs until Eid Al Etihad on December 2 — celebrating the UAE’s journey of progress and inspiring pride in its leadership and people.
