His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has sent a written message inviting His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, to attend the UN Water Conference 2026.

The conference is being co-hosted by the United Arab Emirates and Senegal at the ADNEC Centre in Abu Dhabi from December 8-10, with plans to accelerate progress on Sustainable Development Goal 6, ensuring clean water and sanitation for all.

Waleed bin Abdulkarim Al-Khereiji, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Saudi Arabia, received the letter from Matar Salem Al Dhaheri, UAE Ambassador to Saudi Arabia, during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Riyadh.

It is only the third global UN Water Conference in 50 years, following events in 1977 and 2023.
