His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, on Wednesday, announced the winners of the Arab Government Excellence Award.

Hala Al Saeed, Egypt's Minister of Planning and Economic Development, has been honoured with the best minister in the Arab world.

Sheikh Mohammed congratulated Egyptian President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi's government.

Meanwhile, the Saudi Ministry of Trade was selected as the best ministry in the Arab world.

Taking to his official Twitter handle, Sheikh Mohammed said they had received "5,000 government participation" and explained how the UAE was excluded from the list for the sake of "neutrality".

Launched in 2019, the award aims to recognise leading Arab ministers and ministries for their outstanding work in the region.
