Six new tourism projects are being implemented in Dubai's Hatta region.

The details were revealed by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai.

The new projects will include a cable car network, sustainable waterfalls, hiking trails, holiday homes and an international hotel.

At 1,300 metres above sea level, the Um Al-Nesoor summit will be the highest natural summit in Dubai.

It will feature hiking trails and a 5.4 km cable car line.

Plans are also underway to build 200 holiday homes to support people in the region.

Sheikh Mohammed added that the new projects being developed by the Dubai Electricity and Water Authority (DEWA) will help create 500 jobs for the youth of Hatta.
