Dubai has transformed into a global laboratory where bright minds collaborate to address challenges for a brighter future.

That's according to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, who made the remarks during his tour of GITEX GLOBAL on Friday.

The 42nd edition, which brought together 5,000 leading technology companies from more than 90 countries at the Dubai World Trade Centre was the largest in the event’s history in terms of participation.

It was held over an area of more than 2 million square feet, making it the world’s largest tech event.

"Thanks to the vision and directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Dubai has emerged as a global platform where ideas and innovations collaborate to shape a brighter future," said Sheikh Hamdan.

"The event was attended by more than 138,000 delegates and visitors, underscoring Dubai’s status as a major global tech hub, unlocking development opportunities across various sectors," he added.

During the tour, Sheikh Hamdan was accompanied by His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Deputy Ruler of Dubai, and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE.

They toured the pavilions of several companies and were briefed about cutting-edge technology solutions and digital products on display at the event.

GITEX GLOBAL explored every facet of the digital world through seven experience ecosystems: North Star Dubai, Fintech Surge, Ai Everything, Future Blockchain Summit, Marketing Mania, and two new event platforms – Global DevSlam and X-VERSE.

The event also witnessed the signing of several agreements and deals.
