H.H. Sheikh Hamdan forms supervisory committee of 'Rashid Villages'

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai and UAE's Deputy Prime Minister and Defence Minister, has announced the formation of the Supervisory Committee of 'Rashid Villages'.

Launched in 2025 by Sheikh Hamdan to mark the tenth anniversary of the passing of his late brother, Sheikh Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, 'Rashid Villages' sets out to establish model villages that provide underprivileged families with access to housing, education, healthcare and social services. 

The committee will be chaired by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, and is tasked with overseeing projects, following up on implementation, setting the required policies and frameworks, and addressing challenges related to the initiative.

Members of the Committee include Director General of the Office of the Crown Prince of Dubai, who will serve as Vice Chairman; Director General of the Community Development Authority in Dubai; CEO of the Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of Dar Al Ber Society, and Chairman of the Board of Al Jalila Medical Education and Research Support Foundation.

Meanwhile, the Director of the Office of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum will serve as the Committee's Secretary, while the Committee’s rapporteur will be appointed by the Chairman's decision.
