Five year countdown is on until Dubai hosts Expo 2020

The five year countdown begins today (October 20) for the UAE to host Expo 2020. Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimi, UAE Minister of State and Director General of Dubai Bureau Expo 2020 says they are excited about showcasing the spirit of the UAE as today marks national day at the UAE Pavilion in Expo Milano 2015.

Her Excellency adds that the reaction to the UAE Pavilion at Expo Milano has been quite positive. The superbly designed pavilion has attracted over 1,100,000 visitors, providing the nation with the opportunity to talk with an international audience. The next few months will see a number of developments at Expo 2020 with official registration in November 2015. When Expo 2020 Dubai opens in five years, it is expected to be the most international Expo in history, with 70% of the expected 25 million visits coming from abroad.
