Questions related to pool and beach safety are once again being raised following two fatal incidents in Sharjah over the weekend. According to reports, an 11-year-old African girl drowned in her building’s swimming pool in Al Nahda, while in a separate incident, an elderly Swiss expat drowned off Al Khan beach. Authorities reiterated calls for residents to exercise caution while in the water and to heed weather warnings. They also urged building owners to ensure adequate safety measures are in place around swimming pools.
