Exclusive: Top UAE official addresses COVID-19 concerns

ARN News

There's no need to panic as the UAE is equipped with necessary healthcare systems to tackle COVID-19.

That's according to Jaber Al Lamki, Acting Director General of the National Media Council, who exclusively spoke to Dubai Eye 103.8's The Agenda on Monday.

"I don't think there's any reason to panic. People should live their lives normally. We are dealing with the unknown that's why there's so much interest from a media perspective," he said.

Al Lamki said the country is fully prepared to deal with any challenges related to the novel coronavirus.

He added that the UAE is a member of a WHO-led research team that's trying to understand how this virus is evolving.
