Etihad Airways to resume limited flight schedule to 71 destinations

Etihad Airways will resume a limited commercial flight schedule from March 6, operating between Abu Dhabi and several key international destinations.

The airline said passengers with previous bookings will be accommodated on the resumed services as soon as possible, while tickets are also available through its website.

The following destinations are scheduled to operate to and from Abu Dhabi from March 6: Ahmedabad, Addis Ababa, Amsterdam, Athens, Atlanta, Bangkok, Barcelona, Beijing, Bengaluru, Boston, Brussels, Cairo, Casablanca, Chiang Mai, Chicago, Colombo, Copenhagen, Delhi, Denpasar (Bali), Dublin, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Geneva, Hanoi, Hong Kong, Hyderabad, Islamabad, Istanbul, Jakarta, Jeddah, Karachi, Kochi, Kolkata, Kozhikode, Krabi, Kuala Lumpur, Lahore, London (Heathrow), Madrid, Malé, Manchester, Manila, Medina, Melbourne, Milan (Malpensa), Moscow (Sheremetyevo), Mumbai, Munich, Muscat, Nairobi, New York (JFK), Paris, Phnom Penh, Phuket, Prague, Riyadh, Rome, Seoul (Incheon), Seychelles, Singapore, St Petersburg, Sydney, Taipei, Tel Aviv, Thiruvananthapuram, Tokyo, Toronto, Vienna, Warsaw, Washington and Zurich.

"The decision has been taken in coordination with relevant authorities following extensive safety and security assessments," the airline noted in its official statement, adding that it will continue to monitor the situation and operate flights only when all safety requirements are met.

All other scheduled commercial flights to and from Abu Dhabi remain suspended for now. Passengers with previous bookings will be accommodated on the resumed services as soon as possible, while tickets are also available through its website.

Etihad advised travellers not to go to the airport unless they have been contacted directly by the airline or hold a confirmed booking on one of the scheduled flights.

What travellers should know

  • Check flight status at http://etihad.com before travelling to the airport
  • Ensure their contact details are up to date in their booking
  • Guests holding Etihad tickets issued on or before February 28, with original travel dates up to March 21, may rebook free of charge onto Etihad-operated flights up to May 15
  • Guests on all Etihad flights until March 21 may request a refund at http://etihad.com/en/help/refund-form or through their travel agent.
  • Guests who booked through a travel agent should contact their agent directly
