DXB to stop issuing visas to some travellers

Airports in Dubai will be suspending the issuance of entry visas from March 17.

According to an official statement released by Dubai Airports, this does not apply to passengers with diplomatic passports or those who have obtained visas prior to Tuesday, March 17. 

The statement clarified that this will not apply to passengers coming from Australia, Austria, Belgium, Brunei, Bulgaria, Canada, China (from Beijing only), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hong Kong, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland   Italy (from Rome only), Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Monaco, Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Russia, San Marino, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, The Vatican, United Kingdom and the United States of America.

It also revealed that passengers from the mentioned countries can continue to travel to and from the country but may need to undergo additional screening.
