More than 2,100 taxi drivers in Dubai have been honoured for their exceptional service, courtesy and integrity.
The recognition comes as part of the Roads and Transport Authority’s (RTA) 'Road Ambassadors' initiative, which rewards drivers who follow traffic laws, maintain high standards of personal and vehicle cleanliness, and return lost items to passengers.
"The recognition covered 2,172 drivers in 2024 and up to the first half of this year," said Ahmed Bahrozyan, CEO of the RTA's Public Transport Agency.
He added that the initiative has sparked healthy competition among drivers, raised service quality and enhanced the overall commuting experience.
Bahrozyan praised the drivers for upholding exemplary standards and commended their collective efforts.
The honoured drivers expressed their appreciation, calling the gesture a reflection of the RTA’s support and shared commitment to customer happiness.
