More than 1,800 startups representing over 100 countries are participating to connect, fundraise and share experiences with global peers at Dubai's four-day conference - Expand North Star.

Held until October 18 at Dubai Harbour, it's being hosted by the Dubai Chamber of Digital Economy (DCDE).

Inaugurating the event, His Highness Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, First Deputy Ruler of Dubai, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE, said Expand North Star 2023 reflects the vision of the UAE leaders to transform Dubai into one of the world’s leading digital economies.

The event also boasts a speaker list of 250 of the world's leading digital experts, and over 1,000 investors collectively managing assets totalling over $1 trillion will be in attendance as well.

Expand North Star is the powerhouse start-up show of GITEX GLOBAL, the world largest tech event, which kicks off at Dubai World Trade Centre today. Together, both events comprise a 250,000 square meter exhibition space, a 40 per cent increase over last year, with a theme of "The Year to Imagine AI in Everything".
