Dubai seizes 408 e-scooters, e-bikes and cycles in Gold Souq area

Dubai Police

As many as 300 e-scooters, 50 e-bikes and 58 cycles were confiscated in Dubai's Gold Souq area as part of a crackdown on reckless riders.

Authorities took legal action against violators and warned that riding in non-designated areas could pose significant risks for other road users.

It's part of efforts by Dubai's Naif Police Station to improve road safety.

An awareness campaign by Dubai Police also helped educate 932 riders about traffic laws, and the need to wear protective equipment while on the road. Safety equipment and supplies were also distributed to a number of workers in the Naif area.
