Dubai Ride attracts over 34,000 participants

Dubai Ride, returned for its third edition on Sunday, transforming Sheikh Zayed Road into a giant cycling track.

Almost 35,000 riders took part in the event attracting citizens and residents, along with international visitors.

The Museum of the Future and the Burj Khalifa were some of the city's iconic landmarks visible from the routes.

Cyclists rode on the 12km Sheikh Zayed Road route between the Dubai World Trade Centre and Safa Park, and the 4km Downtown family route around the Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Boulevard and past the Dubai Mall, the Dubai Opera and the Burj Khalifa.

The event was one of the key highlights of the Dubai Fitness Challenge.
