Dubai Police have warned the public about an uptick in fake social media accounts and websites exploiting the demand for Global Village tickets with unrealistic discounts.
The warning comes just days after Global Village announced the presale of VIP Packs for season 31 exclusively on Coca-Cola Arena website until September 25.
Police said fraudsters create or clone websites and social media accounts to resemble the official pages of Global Village to mislead users and steal money or personal data.
They added that such online frauds appear every year when Global Village tickets go on sale.
The authority urged the public to verify offers and to deal only with official websites.
