Dubai Police returns with second edition of COVID-19 bike patrol

Dubai Police

Dubai Police is back with its second edition of ‘Ride with Dubai bikers unit’ initiative to spread awareness around the precautionary measures in place to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Residents and citizens, who are physically fit, are encouraged to join the Dubai Police’s biker squad as it patrols various parts of the city during the holy month of Ramadan to educate people on the importance of social distancing and wearing face masks when outdoors.

JBR, City Walk, Al Mamzar, Nad Al Sheba and Al Qababa are some of the areas that will be on the watchlist, with more neighbourhoods added in the coming days.

Volunteers must be certified COVID-19 free and own a cycle and safety gear (like helmets and safety pads) to join the squad.

All rides will be supervised, and police jackets provided to all those who sign up.
