Dubai Police launches smart neighbourhood watch

WAM

Dubai Police is preparing to launch a smart housing security project in residential neighbourhoods and complexes.

In cooperation with Etisalat, the initiative will use A.I. technology with the aim of achieving a zero crime rate in residential areas.

The new method will protect homes from robberies without human intervention.

This comes after several theft-related reports were filed during the summer holidays, when most families travel abroad and leave an empty house behind.

Dubai Police clarified that its keenness to reach zero crimes in the emirate is based on well thought-out plans and accurate studies.

Abdullah Al-Ahmed, Senior Vice President of Government Sales at the Emirates Telecommunications Corporation (Etisalat), affirmed Etisalat's keenness to cooperate with the emirate's police force as a technology partner in order to launch various security projects that enhance the safety of residents.
