Dubai Police are continuing to crack down on individuals violating COVID-19 precautionary measures.

As many as 10,745 fines have been issued within the Bur Dubai jurisdiction since November last year.

The inspections during the six-month covered nearly 25,000 people and 96,885 vehicles.

The most common offences reported were failure to wear facemasks in public and private transportation, non-compliance with social distancing norms, and exceeding the passenger limit in vehicles.

Brigadier Abdullah Khadem Al Sorour, Director of Bur Dubai Police Station, said these violations were spotted while monitoring three different areas in Bur Dubai.

He reminded the public to comply with the rules to protect themselves and others.
