Dubai inspectors step up COVID-19 compliance visits during Ramadan

Checks by Dubai Municipality on adherence to the COVID-19 rules are being strengthened throughout the Holy Month of Ramadan.

Two establishments have been closed during the latest inspections by the authority, and 23 warnings have been issued.

A fitness centre in Hor Al Anz East has been shutdown due to overcrowding.

While a launderette in Naif was closed for violating health and personal hygiene practices.

A total of 2,257 visits have been carried out so far, with the inspectors recording 98 per cent compliance.
