Dubai Economy has issued 26 fines to commercial establishments and open markets for violating COVID-19 safety measures.

According to the authority, they were mostly related to face masks and physical distancing guidelines.

During the three-day super sale, a rise in the number of visitors resulted in shops failing to maintain safe distances between shoppers, especially near payment counters.

Dubai Economy said it will continue its inspection campaigns along with its various partners to ensure public safety.

It has also called on traders to strictly adhere to the precautionary measures and the public to report any violations through the Dubai Consumer App.
