Dubai begins roadworks to improve connectivity to Nad Al Hamar Intersection

Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) has started a project to improve connectivity from Ras Al Khor Road and Al Rebat Street towards Nad Al Hamar Intersection.

The project will see the construction of a 850-metre lane from Ras Al Khor St to Nad Al Hamar intersection, and widening of the storage lane from Al Rebat St to the area.

It will increase capacity by 33 per cent, from 4,800 to 6,400 vehicles per hour, and reduce travel time from 15 minutes to 11 minutes.

It will also enhance traffic flow towards Nad Al Hamar by up to 27 per cent, particularly during the evening peak hours. And, The improve connectivity to Al Rashidiya, Al Qusais, and Dubai International Airport. 

It's part of RTA's 2025 Rapid Traffic Improvements that is scheduled to be completed by August end.
