Dubai authorities have confirmed that a fire incident at a building in Palm Jumeriah is now under control.

In a social media post, Dubai Media Office said four individuals were injured in the incident and transferred to medical facilities for treatment.

Emergency response teams were deployed immediately and the site has been secured, with Dubai Civil Defence confirming the fire has been brought under control.

"The safety and wellbeing of residents and visitors remain the highest priority," Dubai Media Office said, adding that the "authorities continue to take all necessary measures to safeguard the public".

The public has been "urged to remain calm, rely solely on verified information from official sources, and refrain from circulating videos or images on social media".
