Dubai Municipality has completed three integrated community markets for workers in Muhaisnah 2, Al Quoz Industrial Area 3 and Al Quoz 4, with a fourth market in Jebel Ali Industrial Area 1 set to open soon.

Together, the markets cover more than 69,000 square metres and provide workers with convenient access to essential goods, everyday services, sports and recreational facilities close to their accommodation.

The markets offer a range of services, including food outlets, fruit and vegetable shops, meat and fish stores, consumer goods, barber shops and tailoring services.

They also include sports facilities and spaces for health awareness and community activities.

The three completed markets have a total of 866 kiosks and stalls and have already benefited more than 640,000 workers, with customer satisfaction reaching 99 per cent.

The facilities have also hosted more than 69 community events, attracting over 800,000 attendances.

In addition, 16 awareness workshops on health and safety, food safety, first aid and emergency preparedness have benefited more than 16,500 workers.

Dubai Municipality says the initiative is designed to improve workers' quality of life while supporting public health, food safety and community wellbeing.

The projects have also received international recognition, including a British Safety Council Award, and are being developed in partnership with the private sector under Dubai's health, safety and sustainability standards.
