Don't mix COVID-19 vaccines: UAE health official

WAM

People are being reminded not to mix different types of COVID-19 vaccines as studies are still ongoing to prove whether it's safe to do so.

That's according to Dr. Farida Al Hosani, the official spokesperson for the UAE Health Sector, who told Dubai Eye 103.8's Business Breakfast why it's not recommended for people to take different jabs.

Talking about booster doses, she explained that the Sinopharm booster is recommended for all those who have received both shots of the vaccine and have completed six months.

Dr. Farida also explained who will be given priority.

She added that several countries have already announced that a booster dose for different vaccines is necessary.

Meanwhile, Dr Farida clarified why it's not recommended to take the antibody test before the booster shot.
