H.H. Sheikh Mohamed honoured with humanitarian award

His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces, has received the "2021 DIHAD International Personality Award for Humanitarian Relief".

The accolade was given by the Dubai International Humanitarian Aid and Development (DIHAD) Conference and Exhibition's International Scientific Advisory Board (DISAB).

It's in recognition of His Highness’s continuous support and dedicated efforts in reinforcing humanitarian aid internationally, and in appreciation of the UAE’s leading role in providing necessary medical supplies and relief for people around the world, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic.

His Highness Lieutenant General Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Interior received the award presented by Gerhard Putman-Cramer, Director of DIHAD International Scientific Advisory Board ‘DISAB’ on behalf of His Highness Sheikh Mohamed, on the sidelines of the ‘DIHAD’ conference in Dubai.

His Highness, accompanied by Sheikh Zayed bin Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, also met heads and representatives from official delegations and toured the parallel exhibition area.

The Deputy Prime Minister was briefed on the humanitarian and charitable institutions' work.

He also commended volunteers in the UAE's "Waterfalls" continuous online education project.

The initiative aims to deliver training for around one million humanitarian and healthcare workers, supporting the front-liners from the comfort of their homes or workplace via specialised webinars presented by experts.
