DHA to adopt Artificial Intelligence for remote home-patient monitoring services

Dubai's health regulatory body is exploring ways to use Artificial Intelligence-powered devices to assist in remote patient monitoring.

Along with Dubai-based firm, Enpy, the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) for the non-invasive, innovative medical device that will help measure vital signs.

The device will combine integrated medical sensors and a unique user-interface to guide users regularly about their health. It can also be paired with smartphones or tablets.

"The use of technology for remote-patient monitoring is of particular importance in the current healthcare landscape of the world and we are keen to continue collaborating with firms locally and globally to implement healthcare technologies after an evidence-based analysis," Dr. Manal Taryam, CEO of Primary Healthcare Sector at the DHA said.

DHA is also expanding and adding newer specialisations to its Doctor for Every Citizen telemedicine service.
