Cyclone Shaheen: Al Ain residents advised to stay at home

Authorities in Al Ain have announced further precautionary measures due to the weather conditions linked to cyclone Shaheen.

They have urged all residents in Al Ain to avoid leaving home unless for emergency purposes.

Employees of government entities in the region will be working remotely on Monday, October 4, while private sector firms have been advised to do the same based on their business needs.

COVID-19 testing and vaccination centres have also been closed, and so has access to Jebel Hafeet.

Authorities will be evaluating residential units in areas that are likely to be affected, and transporting families to safe locations.
