COVID-19: UAE announces 479 new cases, 4 deaths

The UAE has announced 479 new cases of COVID-19, taking the tally to 6,781.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), four more people have died from the virus, bringing the total death toll to 41.

All the cases suffered from pre-existing health conditions, officials added.

The ministry also announced the recovery of 98 patients. It brings the total number of recoveries in the country to 1,286.

As many as 23,000 tests have been conducted as part of the ministry's strategy to identify, isolate and treat as many patients as possible in the early stages itself.
