COVID-19: UAE announces 427 new cases

The UAE has announced 427 new cases of COVID-19, taking the overall tally in the country to 69,328.

The number of recoveries has gone up to 60,202 after another 341 people were given the all-clear.

The death toll remains 379 as no fatalities have been reported over the past 24 hours.

This means that there are currently 8,747 active cases in the country.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), as many as 88,803 additional tests have been carried out across the Emirates in the last 24 hours.

In a statement, it stressed its aim to continue expanding the scope of testing nationwide to facilitate the early detection of coronavirus cases and carry out the necessary treatment.
