Three more people in the UAE have recovered from the novel coronavirus.

This brings the total number of recovered cases in the country to 20.

According to the Ministry of Health and Prevention (MoHAP), the three individuals - a Bangladeshi, a Chinese and an Italian - are now "symptom-free" after receiving the necessary treatment.

The Ministry reaffirmed that the UAE’s handling of the cases, from diagnosis until recovery, reflects the strength of its healthcare system.

It added that infected individuals are being dealt with according to the highest medical standards, and are kept under close observation, as per the guidelines of the World Health Organisation (WHO).

On Thursday, the UAE announced 11 new cases of COVID-19, taking the total to 85, out of which 65 are active cases.
