Officials at Dubai Tourism have stepped up inspection campaigns to ensure compliance with COVID-19 precautionary measures.

During the past year, the authority carried out more than 41,000 inspections. As many as 1,094 violations were found during the checks and 62 venues were shut down.

A team of 49 inspectors work around the clock to monitor compliance with the measures.

The inspections cover hotels as well as restaurants and cafes within hotels, in addition to vacation homes, desert camps and safaris.

Commercial yachts and boats, entertainment events and concerts are also closely monitored.
